US soccer has been very proactive towards women’s soccer for a long time. After it seemed to have lost a bit of luster, the management did not hesitate to bring in one of the best coaches in the world. Emma Hayes will take over the team in June, a record signing for any women’s coach in the world. She will, however, have just 2 months before heading to Paris, within which she would implement all her plans.
This will be Hayes’ first go at a major international tournament. Even though she has experience winning six Women’s Super League titles with Chelsea FC, the coach will make her maiden entry into the Olympics. Nevertheless, Davies feels that her tactics can revive the team once again.
