Wrexham has commenced their journey towards the Premier League by securing promotion to the Football League. The efforts of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have brought about a remarkable transformation for the Welsh team. Although it is their initial promotion, their focus remains firmly set on their ultimate objective.

The Hollywood owners are eager to clinch multiple promotions and finally make their way to England’s top flight. While some are doubting their successive promotion, one of their staff has backed Reynolds for keeping the realistic dream alive.

The promotion has boosted the Red Dragons’ confidence to run for back-to-back promotions. Reynolds still maintains his dream to lead the Dragons to the Prem as many are doubtful about that happening. However, one of Wrexham’s player-coaches, David Jones has backed Reynolds to keep the dream alive.

In a recent interview, Jones believes that the recent successes of the club make it a real possibility rather than an impossible feat. “With the co-manager and the staff he has put in place, you know they are experienced football guys. You know what it takes to get promoted and get through the leagues and what the club needs to progress. So, if those things are in place then there’s better chances of success,” he said.

Jones, who signed for the Welsh club in 2021, knows the tough side to get into the PL, but also insists it isn’t impossible too. “Like I said, we’re not naïve to the fact that getting into the Premier League is very difficult, but I think it’s a realistic aim if we keep doing the things that we’ve been doing the last couple of years,” he added.

Indeed, these words suggest the club is blooming with confidence as they are desperate to get to the top of the English pyramid system. Jones has truly echoed Reynolds’ 10-year dream.

A few months back, Reynolds had expressed his ambition to lead Wrexham to the top flight. “In 10 years’ time, the plan has and always will be the Premier League,” he said. “If it’s theoretically possible to go from the fifth tier to the Premier League, why wouldn’t we try?” he added.

Securing another promotion will present challenges for Reynolds’ side, but their main focus will be on bolstering their squad for the upcoming season. The Red Dragons are resolute in their determination to replicate previous successes and secure another promotion. As they set their sights on reaching the English Premier League (EPL), expectations remain high.
