“Now Paradoxically I Do Feel Complete” – Shakira Wants to Be an Example to Her Children

In an exclusive interview with Canal Estrellas, Shakira claimed, “Now, paradoxically, I do feel complete”, as transcribed and translated by Hola. This statement left the fanbase scratching their heads. However, the Colombian star later revealed what she exactly meant by that line. She quoted, “I feel that I depend on myself and that I also have two children who depend on me and I have to be stronger than a lioness”.

She continued by saying that she has gladly accepted the reality of her situation. The 46-year-old highlighted that she had no choice but to start rebuilding her life with the kids all by herself.

Shakira quoted, “That strength, for it to be true and not a façade, has to be the result of living a duel, of accepting it, of tolerating the frustration, that there are things in life that do not go as you want, that there are dreams that are broken and you have to pick up the pieces of the ground and rebuild yourself.” The Latin American singer said that she also needs to be an example for her children.

After Shakira and Gerard Pique split, they had to decide who would take possession of Milan and Sasha, their two children. Shakira was naturally inclined to keep the kids with her. Indeed, her wish came true. The Grammy Award winner managed to agree on a separation agreement with her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Pique. The contract legally made Milan and Sasha the singer’s permanent responsibility.

The 46-year-old reportedly already has a plan of action in place. She plans to shift with her two children to her property in Miami. From there on, the celebrity single mom will begin her new life with her kids. Shakira has taught her fans a valuable life lesson: that money cannot pull you out of life’s sorrows. One needs to have the belief and willpower in themself to start afresh, just like Shakira.
