All about Shakira’s tax fraud case

As per recent legal reports, the trials will begin from November 20 onwards. The court is preparing for twelve sessions in two months along with about 200 witnesses. The accusers have offered the singer an easy way out of this. If Shakira confesses her tax fraud attempt, the court will definitely consider reducing her sentence.

However, if the Colombian singer turns out to be guilty, the prosecution has asked for a jail term of eight years and two months. It doesn’t end there. She will also have to pay 23.8 million euros as a fine. Considering the high-reputation case, the judge has reportedly asked both sides of the case to reduce the number of witnesses attending the trial.

They will also stress the fact that she paid more than 104 million euros in taxes in different countries.
