Soccer’s epitome of longevity, Cristiano Ronaldo remains at the epicenter of Al Nassr’s attack after turning 39 last month. He has scored goals in the last four matches he played for Al Nassr. When a ban kept Ronaldo out of the Al Hazm game, Al Nassr settled for a draw. Being Al Nassr’s MVP and Portugal’s captain, retirement seems so distant for the veteran. When he was last quizzed on the same, the 5x-Ballon d’Or winner remarked he was unsure when to call it a day. At this juncture, CR7’s partner Georgina Rodriguez let out a heartbreaking revelation about his future at the Paris Fashion Week.

Georgina’s Paris Fashion Week was a treat for Ronaldo’s fans. She flaunted a Cristiano Ronaldo-themed red dress, which bore the player’s name, iconic #7, and signature. However, nobody expected Georgina to speak of the player’s retirement on the occasion after the stunning tribute.

In a viral clip from the Paris Fashion Week, a few peers seem to be asking Georgina Rodriguez about Cristiano Ronaldo’s retirement. “Cristiano one year, then it’s over. Maybe two, I don’t know,” said Georgina in response. Georgina has notably given a fixed time for the player’s plans. Even CR7 did not give a specific timeline as to when he would hang up his boots. In fact, he took pride in beating youngsters like Erling Haaland in last year’s race for the Golden Boot. He even joked he would play 10 more years.

Though that seems quite far-fetched, Georgina expecting the 5x-Ballon d’Or to call it a day in a year comes as a shocker. While Ronaldo diplomatically chose silence regarding his retirement plan, numerous rumors and reports contradict Georgina’s statement. Per these rumors, the Portuguese captain will probably head on to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The FIFA World Cup trophy is the last piece of the jigsaw in Cristiano Ronaldo’s otherwise sublime career. Per rumors from October 2023, Ronaldo will give his World Cup dreams a final shot with Portugal in the upcoming tournament in the USA. This came after Ronaldo reportedly asked Al Nassr to extend his contract till 2026. This means he could stay at the club level for two more seasons. He also added he aspires to win at least five titles with Al Nassr before retiring.

Now, the 2016 Euro winner has a staggering 877 goals in his tally, being the game’s all-time top scorer. Interestingly, Porto’s President Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa challenged him last year to score 1,000 goals before he retires. Since Ronaldo is consistently scoring these days, he could surely reach the 1,000-goal mark before calling it a day. Hence, it is quite likely that the player would stay long enough to make sure he achieves these milestones.
