Regarding the expectations from Timothy, Duncan told the New York Post, “He can go very far. I think he is on that progression to be on that level close to his father and as solid a player as [Cristiano] Ronaldo. That’s where he can go”. He continued, “He worked through injuries to bring him to this stage, and he’s impressed with his coaching staff and team members”.
While Timothy Weah still has his entire career ahead of him, it’s important to revisit the grand soccer legacy that his father once created for the world of soccer.
George Weah’s long-lasting soccer legacy!
George Weah is a true African soccer legend. Unfortunately, the Liberian soccer legend never got the chance to represent his country at soccer’s greatest stage, the World Cup. The year 1995 was one of the best years of his career. In 1995, Weah became the first African to win the Ballon d’Or. He also won the FIFA Player of the Year award in that same year.
