Things aren’t looking good for Marcus Rashford currently at Manchester United. Even though there are bigger problems for the Red Devils to deal with, like worrying about poor form, the uncertainty surrounding the future of their star winger has also taken the spotlight. While it almost seems that Rashford has lost his place in the team, Gary Neville has urged Ruben Amorim to do one ‘right thing’ for both the club and himself.
The iconic English right-back has pointed out a recurring pattern of Rashford being left out of the team, most notably during the recent 0-3 loss to Bournemouth. His absence has fueled speculation that his time with his boyhood club may be nearing its end. To prevent this situation from escalating and interfering with the club’s other pressing issues, Neville has urged Amorim to make a bold move, before it turns out to be a significant ‘distraction.’
“Something has to change at Manchester United,” began the former United defender while speaking to Sky Sports. “For 10 years, we’ve been watching a lot of the same players over the last 4 or 5 years deliver the same results. We’ve talked about culture a number of times. If there are players that aren’t quite fitting in for one reason or another, if they’ve not got good enough quality, they have to be let go.”

Such a decision rests in the hands of none other than Amorim, who himself arrived in the middle of November. Hence, Neville wants the former Sporting CP boss to do the necessary by offloading unnecessary players for both his benefit and the club’s progress. “Ruben Amorim knows now that 5 managers before him have fallen, and some of these managers have shown faith in these same players.”
“So I think it’s a case that he’s got to protect himself and do the right thing for the club and himself,” concluded the pundit, admitting that things have only gone south for Rashford, leaving minimal chances for the 27-year-old to regain his footing at the club. In fact, Neville didn’t hesitate to claim that it might be the ‘inevitable ending’ for the English forward.
While it’s easy to say that United and Amorim must offload Rashford, doubts were raised earlier on exactly how the potential suitors will be found for their ex-academy prospect.

Marcus Rashford ‘gave up’ for Ruben Amorim and Co. but what’s next for the Manchester United star?
Though leaving Old Trafford is a call that many see as a much-needed fresh start for the Red Devils’ No. 10, questions have been raised as to which club would actually decide to spend money on his signature. “I think he doesn’t want to stay; that’s for sure; we can feel it. I don’t know why but I think he gave up,” began Frank Leboeuf, slamming his recent performances for the club.
“But again, we still have the same question: who’s going to hire somebody with such a low spirit right now? It’s going to be hard for a club to put any money down that guy and pay a wage—a crazy wage for a player who’s not truthful right now,” questioned the Chelsea icon, further insisting how Rashford has been lacking consistency for more than a year.

While the responsibility of regaining form ultimately rests on Rashford, the out-of-favor Three Lions forward continues to attract interest from Paris Saint-Germain. The French giants, long-time admirers of the United star, might still be keen on securing his signature. For now, all eyes are on Ruben Amorim to see how he makes things right for himself and the club.
