The Ryan Reynolds-owned side grabbed a last-minute thriller in their latest League Two game. Playing against Sutton United, the Welsh side found themselves looking for a winner in the closing minutes of the game. Midfielder Elliot Lee emerged as the hero for the side as he bagged a goal in the 89th minute of the contest to help his team cross the finish line, with a 2-1 win.

Ace striker Paul Mullin also gave his all throughout the contest as he put his body on the line when not on offense. Mullin provided Wrexham with the opening goal in the contest and was one of the key contributors during the play. Following the game, his fellow teammate James McClean took to his Instagram to laud Mullin, posting an image of the striker defending with his body.

“F**king love the dedication for the cause lad,” read the post.

Reynolds was also astonished at his team’s performance as he took to social media, and added a graphic of the team’s win on his Instagram story with the caption, “Handing out heart attacks since 1864!”

With the big win, the team will now look to turn their focus to their upcoming clash in League Two. Wrexham will be up against arch-rivals Notts Country in what is most likely to be their toughest challenge so far this season.

Wrexham up against rivals in upcoming encounter

Wrexham will have a stiff challenge ahead of themselves in their upcoming fixture. The side will be up against longtime rivals Notts County, with the winner climbing the second place on the points table. Both the teams have been in great form so far this season. While Wrexham is currently placed 3rd with 27 points in 15 games, Notts County is placed second with 30 points in the same number of games.

The two sides had a stiff battle against each other last season, with both teams hoping to climb out of the National League. Following their respective promotions, Wrexham would love to get three points from this fixture as a win will help the team put a dent in Notts County’s chances.
