At last, the UEFA Euro 2024 party is coming to an end. Spain and England will take on each other to decide on the winner of the prestigious silverware. But it’s not just all about the collective win as eyes are also on the individual prize. Awards like Golden Ball, Golden Boot, and Best Young Player await players including veterans like Harry Kane to generational talents like Lamine Yamal. Let’s see who are the true contenders to take home an individual award alongside them.
Golden Ball
Harry Kane: The Bayern Munich star’s name seems logical doesn’t it? If England wins, then surely the 30-year-old gets the stamp of a true skipper to lead his nation to the Euro win for the very first time. The significance grows even more if we remind you what a perfect way it would be for Kane to end his silverware drought as well.

Jude Bellingham: This can be one of the editions in this list, considering that the star midfielder has scored 2 goals in these 6 matches. Also, if Kane gets the Golden Boot award (spoiler alert) then yes, it would be sensible to hand over the Golden Ball award to Bellingham. If the ex-Dortmund boy gets it, then we are already smelling a Ballon d’Or for Jude as the win is a cherry on top of the extraordinary domestic season he enjoyed with Real Madrid.
Golden Boot
Special mention: Technically, if there’s any true contender for the top-scorer of the UEFA Euro 2024, it is “own-goal.” To the surprise of the tournament’s history, 11 own-goals have been scored. But since no one can accept this award on its behalf, we have a list.

This year, we might have six Golden Boot winners in the tournament. England’s Harry Kane, Spain’s Dani Olmo, Netherlands’ Cody Gakpo, Germany’s Jamal Musiala, Slovakia’s Ivan Schranz, and Georgia’s Georges Mikautadze are all currently tied for three goals each. However, among these six players, Olmo and Kane still have a chance to increase their tally and become the sole awardee.
What’s your perspective on:
Can Harry Kane finally clinch the Golden Boot, or will a young star like Lamine Yamal steal the show?

So far, in 6 games, the youngster has notched a goal and three assists. There are no words to describe how well of a job the young lad has done for his nation. Irrespective of the result, Yamal is the obvious choice for this award. After all, dominating the headline on the European stage aged 16-17, while facing some of the biggest names is no easy feat.
