Despite winning three trophies in France, the soccer icon ended up leaving PSG not in the happiest way. Earlier this year, he joined Inter Miami mid-campaign. Now in an interview, Charlotte FC’s Brecht Dejaegere revealed a few of Messi’s thoughts on his PSG tenure that the World Cup winner once relayed to him.
He said, “Very briefly I was able to chat with Messi. The game was down and I told him he obviously felt better than in France. Not that he recognized me, but he did ask if I had also played in France. ‘In Toulouse’, I replied.”
“Messi had to laugh,” Dejaegere continued. “‘France was sh*t, bad.’ He said something like that.” Those are memories for life”, as compiled by Sporza and translated by DeepL. Neymar once admitted that the two of them were ‘living through hell’. However, he will now focus on the upcoming exciting season with Inter Miami.
