The Saudi League is the talk of the town currently after they signed top European stars for monstrous wages. But some signings would fail to make an impact. It looks like one of them is Karim Benzema. The striker is currently struggling in Saudi Arabia. However, French legend Michel Larque has said that the forward in the first place should have continued his stay with Real Madrid.
He further said, “Benzema regrets it. Of course, everyone does what they want, but making an exit from the game is important for top players. I remember that he had expressed his desire to finish his career at Real Madrid. He had the opportunity. He lost himself by joining an artificial championship.”
The former PSG coach was also surprised that Benzema had the thought of leaving Los Blancos after winning trophies and the Ballon d’Or. At the moment, the reality is that the relationship between Al Ittihad and the star forward is at an all-time low. The striker has also deactivated his Instagram account because of the abuse he faced from the fans after the loss against Al Nassr.
There is no doubt that many of the experts are backing Karim Benzema to end his Saudi nightmare. Moreover, the French forward reportedly has plenty of options on his table should he leave the club.
