Griezmann has graced the soccer universe with some of the funniest and most bizarre goal celebrations of all time. However, the phone celebration that Griezmann once borrowed from a music video by Drake will never be forgotten.

Griezmann also received quite a lot of popularity after doing that particular celebration for a few years. However, the Frenchman shockingly snubbed Drake’s iconic move for a new move a few years later.

Griezmann chooses another move over his ‘Drake Hotline Bling’ celebration!

Drake is one of the best rappers of all time. The Canadian rapper is popular for the rare dance move he pulls off in a few of his music videos. In 2015, Drake released a new single called ‘Hotline Bling’. Hotline Bling has been a superhit since Day 1. The music video received a lot of love from the soccer universe as well.

And the Atletico Madrid star borrowed a step from the music video. Griezmann then converted that step into his regular goal celebration in almost every game. The soccer star did that same move for quite a few years. But several years later, Griezmann decided to go against the celebration.

In 2019, Griezmann was doing a ‘fun’ interview with Unisport. During that interview, the host asked Griezmann to make a choice between two of his most iconic celebrations. The host asked the Frenchman whether he would choose the phone celebration or the Fortnite celebration. However, the Frenchman surprised everyone and showed the soccer world his new celebration. They termed it the ‘wave celebration.’
