A former soccer goalkeeper met with an accident
Recordnet reported that the former goalkeeper of the University of the Pacific Eric Cotton was skateboarding when he was hit by a car. According to the reports, he suffered head trauma, resulting in brain bleeding. His condition was critical when he was rushed to the hospital this Sunday.

Eric Corton played for the Tigers, making 16 appearances for the 2022-23 season. He had a mammoth of a season. He only conceded 22 goals out of 204 attempts made on him. As a result of his being so dominant, he got his hands on the west coast defensive player of the week.

The accident took place in South Carolina. He had been an integral part of the Pacific Tigers for over three years. According to his coach, Eric was popular among not only his soccer peers but the whole athletic department.
Family Friend started a GoFundMe for Eric
According to the reports, one of the Family friends of the Cotton Family Cameron Davies started a GoFundMe account with a goal of 15,000 USD to support the family and help them pay the medical bills. As of Wednesday afternoon, the fund had raised 14,000 USD.
