Cristiano Ronaldo was over the moon last weekend with the star finally clinching his first title in Al Nassr colours. Ronaldo, who has been hunting for titles, was in top shape in the finals. With his side down by a goal, Cristiano scored two consecutive goals to help his side clinch the Arab Club Champions Cup.

However, the win did come at a cost as Ronaldo was taken off the game following a tackle in the 115th minute. Following the game, Al Nassr informed that the star will miss out on the teams’ opening game against Al-Ettifaq, following an injury to his knee. Despite being ruled out of the game, Cristiano Ronaldo shared a three-word message for his team, hyping them for their opening league contest.

Cristiano before the game against Al Ettifaq took to his Instagram account, sharing a motivational message for this team in Arabic. The message can be translated to, “Victory belongs to those who attend”.

Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be enjoying his time at Al Nassr and with the side making some notable transfer this summer, the side can emerge as a top contender for the title this season.

While Cristiano Ronaldo did share a motivating message for his team, it didn’t seem the message had much of an impact. Al Nassr was thumped by Al Ettifaq 2-1, as the game back from behind to stun the side.

Al Nassr fail to shine in Cristiano’s absence

Al Nassr failed to make the most of their chances with the team missing out on crucial opportunities. Al Ettifaq, taking advantage of the situation, fired two quick goals in the early minutes of the second half to push Al Nassr out of the driving seat. With a loss in their opening game. Al Nassr will be disappointed with the outcome in the absence of their talisman.
