Romelu Lukaku, who didn’t turn out to be a success at both Manchester United and Chelsea, has the answer. “I think he [Erling Haaland] will dominate, with Mbappe, world football for the next 10 years. They will be fighting from the new generation. They will really take over (from Messi and Ronaldo) in the next two years,” Lukaku said while speaking to CNN.

Lukaku has settled well at Inter after dismal spells in the Premier League with Manchester United and Chelsea. The Londoners invested $120 million to sign him. But the Belgian didn’t live up to the expectations. Chelsea loaned him to Inter Milan. Now he will play in the UEFA Champions League final against high-flying Manchester City, to win and stop City from winning the treble.

A new rivalry developing

When it comes to generational soccer stars, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are the names that strike first. Mbappe has achieved a lot and is a World Cup winner with France. On the other hand, Haaland is also a proven goal scorer, and Norwegian’s recent Premier League record and Golden Boot are a testament to that.
