Cristiano Ronaldo is a massive name on and off the pitch. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner boasts an enormous fan following. He is the most followed athlete on social media. His massive fan following has earned Ronaldo many deals, with ‘Binance’ being one of them.

He may have had a dismal 2022-23 season, but still landed a significant deal with Cryptocurrency company last year. Binance announced it in June last year when Ronaldo was a Manchester United player. Recently Ronaldo trolled the company’s CEO over his soccer skills in an interview.

A few days ago, Ronaldo gave an exclusive interview with Binance. It was named Ask Cristiano Ronaldo Anything with Binance. He spoke about several aspects. Meanwhile, the host showed a video of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (Net Worth $24.3 billion) kicking a soccer ball and asked Ronaldo to share his views.

Ronaldo responded, “Too much work we have here to do it. It’s better to do what he does it best. Football is not for him. But I can teach him a little bit, at least the way to shoot, because he doesn’t know how to shoot.” It was a sly dig at Zhao when Ronaldo asked him to do what he does best instead of playing soccer.

Ronaldo and Binance entered a multi-year partnership last year. As a part of the partnership, the Portuguese will launch a series of NFTs via the Binance platform. The Al Nassr superstar launched the first NFT in November last year. The Cryptocurrency platform wants to make use of Portuguese’s fan following and saw a surge in users after binding Ronaldo the previous year.

As per financial expert in soccer Kieran Maguire, Ronaldo could add to the north of $25 million. Speculating the earnings for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Maguire said, “This will potentially be more lucrative for Ronaldo than United’s deal. From a social media perspective, he is bigger than the club.” He cited the $25 million United and Bezos deal to speculate the earnings for Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s much- anticipated first season at Al Nassr didn’t turn out to be up to the expectations. In fact, the Al-Aalami even went trophyless in the past season.
