Fans can wait as Wrexham approaches life in League One. There is a lot of hype behind the Welsh club with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney hoping to bag their third consecutive promotion. This could be a tough ask for the club, considering they will play in the third tier of the English Football pyramid after 20 years. While this may already be an enormous achievement, it doesn’t seem like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have plans to stop shortly. The Hollywood duo have big plans for the show and believe they can continue showing the immersive journey behind the team as long as fans stay behind the Welsh outfit.

The club owners opened up on their plans for the show in a joint interview. When asked about his goals for the show club co-owner Rob McElhenney stated, “Our goal, ultimately, is to document the rise of the club and the town for as long as we possibly can because it is just a wellspring of story. When I hear people say, ‘Well, eventually you’re going to run out of stories,’ I’m like, ‘Really? Because we haven’t for thousands of years.’”

Ryan Reynolds also described why “Welcome to Wrexham” is such a big hit amongst the fans. The Deadpool star stated, “The town of Wrexham has inspired so many people globally because (a version of) that town exists all over the world with people who feel like they’ve been left out or nothing good will ever happen to them or that prosperity is never going to find them in the system.” (Quoted by the Wrap)

Well, so far it seems like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have done a commendable job with the club. The duo’s presence has brought new eyeballs to the club while uplifting the Welsh town simultaneously. Things have been stunning and only time will tell how far the Hollywood duo can go in their quest to restore the club to its old heights.
