Brazil continues to remain under the red alert. The South American nation has been grappling with floods since the beginning of the month, with the death toll crossing over 150. While efforts are underway to restore normalcy, the support from soccer’s biggest names continues unabated. Days after Neymar stepped up to offer assistance to his home country, Cristiano Ronaldo is the latest name to join forces with his Al Nassr teammate, Alex Telles, to provide aid during this time of distress.

The former Manchester United left-back recently shared a video message of himself, where he thanked CR7 for giving him his signed Al Nassr shirt, which Telles intends to put up for auction. The money raised from the auction of the Portuguese superstar’s shirt will be donated to assist his state, Caxias do Sul, which has been damaged by the treacherous floods. Indeed, this is quite a heartwarming gesture from Telles and especially from Ronaldo, who was generous enough to donate to such a cause.

Without a doubt, there are numerous admirers of the legendary Real Madrid player who wouldn’t hesitate to spend money to acquire his signed jersey. This money will be instrumental for Telles to donate to the people of his hometown, who are in dire need of shelter, food, and other essentials. Interestingly, the left-back has also placed his own signed Al Nassr shirt up for auction, further contributing to the cause.

Even though Telles is miles away in Saudi Arabia, the ex-Seville star is quite actively rallying the efforts to help the people of his country. His national teammate Neymar also went the extra mile to stand up for the cause.

How is the rival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar helping Brazil with the flood crisis?

The Al Hilal star has taken a leading role in the relief efforts, even dispatching his personal helicopter to assist in rescue operations in Brazil. Neymar has generously provided over seven tons of food and medication to aid the victims. His fleet of aircraft, including his private jets, has been instrumental in supporting the Brazilian government’s relief efforts in Rio Grande do Sul. Aside from Neymar, Diego Costa also gave his shoulder in need.

The current Botafogo striker encountered a group of individuals from Eldorado do Sul in need of assistance while returning home from training weeks ago. The 35-year-old promptly offered his jeep and jet ski to rescue those stranded by the floods. He also enlisted the help of four friends. Footage on social media captured Costa driving through flooded roads as his remarkable initiative reportedly led to the successful evacuation of over 100 people.
