Belgian superstar Kevin De Bruyne recently admitted what Manchester City fans didn’t want to hear. The midfielder said, “At my age, you have to be open to everything,” regarding a Saudi move. The Belgian cited his ‘age’ and the ‘incredible money’ on offer as hard to refuse. With just 1 year left on his contract, KDB’s situation might be sorted out earlier than expected. But, in just a matter of days, another Belgian superstar has opened up on his desire to play in the Middle East.

Romelu Lukaku, who plays for Roma on loan from Chelsea, has confirmed his desire to play in Saudi. Notably, this is not the first time the striker has praised the Saudi league. He had said, “In the next two years I see Saudi Pro League becoming one of the best in the world, if not the best. The clubs make a lot of efforts to bring the ‘big’ players here. They are improving a lot.”

It seems the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and himself are among these big players. While it is not yet known if Lukaku is in formal talks with any clubs, KDB’s situation is advanced. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr is a big admirer of the midfielder. Last year, there were reports that Al Nassr had offered a $75 million bid for the Manchester City man. Yet, Al Nassr has not yet given up on the move. Recently, there were claims that the Belgian had made contact with the club following the FA Cup loss.

Yet for the Kevin De Bruyne to Al Nassr links, the Belgian could snub a move to Saudi Arabia after all. According to recent reports, there is another concrete possibility for the legendary midfielder.

Kevin De Bruyne could make a U-turn on the Saudi move and join the MLS instead

It is not yet known if Manchester City will offer a new contract to the Belgian. Regardless, Kevin De Bruyne is not short on suitors should he leave Etihad. As per reports, the new MLS team, San Diego FC, is interested in bringing De Bruyne on board. San Diego will be making their MLS debut next season and KDB could be the marquee signing for the California-based club.
