Chelsea head coach Emma Hayes is in dreamland after landing a major role at the USWNT. However, things were a little rough for Hayes following the death of her father. The Blue’s head coach in one of her recent press conferences touched down on her father’s passing. The six-time Women’s Super League winner during the presser thanked her rival coach for his brilliant support during her rough patch.

Hayes will take over as the USWNT head coach following the end of the season. Despite having a decorated career with the Blues, Hayes will now step out of her comfort zone. Hayes is eager to get started with the USWNT and it will be interesting to see if she can restore the team to their former might.

Chelsea head coach Emma Hayes was present for a press conference before the game against Liverpool. The newly appointed USWNT praised Liverpool’s head coach, Matthew Beard, lauding him as one of the most caring people.

Hayes stated Beard looks after his people and was there for her when her father died. “Listen, you ask any of the players who’ve played for Matt. He’s a caring guy. Really is, he looks after his people. He was brilliant for me that day, and he was brilliant for me when my dad died. Umm, he understood. He’s been through it, and he actually sent me a really emotional message the other day.”

Emma Hayes and Chelsea have a big game ahead of themselves tonight. The side will be eager to grab a win over rivals Liverpool. The Blues are currently at the top of the points table and a win over the Reds will consolidate their position on the standings.

The six-time Women’s Super League winner will part ways with Chelsea at the end of the season. Hayes has been at the club since 2012 and is now ready for the next step in her career.

The USWNT announced an official statement on behalf of Hayes, who’s excited to get started with the team. “This is a huge honor to be given the opportunity to coach the most incredible team in world football history. The feelings and connection I have for this team and for this country run deep.”

The Blues head coach then added, “I’ve dreamed about coaching the USA for a long time, so to get this opportunity is a dream come true. I know there is work to do to achieve our goals of winning consistently at the highest levels.”

The USWNT had a rough campaign in the World Cup this year. The side crashed out of the tournament during the Round of 16, which is their poorest performance in the past two decades. Hayes will have to hit the ground running and make sure she can get the team back on track.
