No one is looking ahead to the new season more than Wrexham. The Welsh club has recently achieved promotion to EFL League Two and has already begun its preparations. Ryan Reynolds is more than desperate to see his beloved side in action. Meanwhile, emphatic friendly ties against Manchester United and Chelsea are also in line.

Hence, improving the squad has become of paramount importance for the Red Dragons. While several players have been linked with Reynolds’ club, it seems they are eyeing another potential move for a former Championship star.

Already filled with the likes of Paul Mullin, Elliot Lee, and Ben Foster, Wrexham are looking to make some tweaks in their ranks. Hence, in an attempt to bolster their squad, the club has been linked with a move for ex-championship star Curtis Main. After recently ending his deal with Scottish Premier League side, St Mirren, the striker is currently out of contract.

Recently, Main’s manager, Stephen Robinson, also opened up about his future, insisting it will be hard to keep him at the club. As stated by Fearless in Devotion, he said, “When you are getting double and triple your money offers in England’s League 1 & 2 then you need to admit that you are not going to get there (keeping him).”

Hence, Phil Parkinson’s side is looking at Main as the perfect candidate with whom they’ll be linking up with Mullin. The 30-year-old has played for a host of Championship clubs, including Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, and Doncaster. He has also played for several Scottish clubs, including Motherwell, Aberdeen, and most recently, St Mirren.
