It has been a few days since Wrexham women’s division lifted the trophy on the Racecourse Ground. The team created history and proved the positive impact of the new owners. It was the first-ever trophy the team won. The team applied for the tier 1 license which was approved. Now, the club has made a significant announcement for the team. They recently signed a new deal as the club continues to grow despite seeing major economic losses.

The women’s team was playing their home game in the Race Course Ground, a venue they were sharing with Wrexham men’s team. Recently, it was announced that the team will be getting a new home.

Wrexham women’s team to get new ground

The team has been making a new stride recently. Banking on the performance and immense popularity Wrexham is getting, the team broke the league record. They lifted the trophy with a record attendance of 9,511. It seems the owners are showering their appreciation for the team.

Talking about the recent development, Fleur Robinson, Wrexham AFC CEO said, “We are pleased to work with Cefn Druids and The Rock Stadium, which will provide an excellent home for our women to train and play. It was an important move for us to make as we continue to grow all sections of the club, and I would like to thank Des Williams for his help in securing the deal.”

Cefn Druids chairman also talked about their deal with the Welsh Club. He appreciated the fact that they got to be a part of women’s sports. Des Williams took the time to thank Robinson for giving them the chance to present their services to the team.

Dual Promotion incoming!?

With both teams performing historically, fans are in for an adventurous ride. Wrexham women’s team won their first-ever silverware and the club’s first under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s reign. Meanwhile, the men’s team is busy in clowning on the National League as they eye automatic promotion this year.
