Notably, this loss occurred in the absence of Toronto’s star player, Lorenzo Insigne, who was watching his side from the stands. As if the loss wasn’t enough to sour Insigne’s mood, he became involved in an altercation with a fan.

This shocking incident came to light after a video was shared by a netizen. The clip shows Insigne engaging in a heated exchange with a Toronto supporter during today’s match. The forward shouted “F**k You” to a Toronto supporter. Interestingly, he had to be ushered inside before the situation escalated further.

As of now, there isn’t any update as to why the heated argument occurred in the first place. Be that as it may, it is quite an eyebrow-raising incident. Luckily, the situation didn’t escalate further. Additionally, the question still persists as to why Lorenzo Insigne was instigated to curse the supporter of his own club.

Notably, this isn’t the first time Insigne had an incident with fans. Earlier, he was forced by a group of fans to take a U-turn after praising Lionel Messi.

Insigne was slammed by the fanbase after showering praise on Lionel Messi

Lorenzo Insigne recently conveyed his admiration for Lionel Messi following their encounter on the field with Miami. Although Messi was substituted and couldn’t complete the match, the Herons secured a resounding 4-0 victory. After the game, Insigne stumbled upon a photo capturing him in a duel for the ball with Messi, which he promptly shared on his Instagram story. Alongside the image, he included a caption that read, “With the best in history,” accompanied by a ‘goat’ emoji.

However, this action didn’t sit well with fans of Insigne’s former club, Napoli. It seemed to upset them because Napoli’s fanbase firmly believes that this title exclusively belongs to their legendary player, Diego Armando Maradona. Consequently, all Napoli supporters criticized Insigne, viewing it as a “betrayal” by their former captain. Subsequently, the soccer star had to make a U-turn and issue an apology.
