Wrexham will soon know the fourth-round opponents, as the draw will take place on Sunday. They will hope to continue the recent form in the next round. The club, under the new ownership of Reynolds and McElhenney, is looking to get a promotion after narrowly missing out last season.
Soccer fans react to weird claim for Wrexham AFC’s star striker
Wrexham sits second in the National League table currently, five points behind the leaders, Notts County. However, they have two games in hand over the leaders and can go top of the table by winning both their games. Paul Mullin, their star striker, is making a name for himself with his goal-scoring form. However, the striker is subject to trolling after a weird claim.
One of the Twitter handles posted a message with a question about how many goals Mullin will score in the Premier League. The fans were quick to respond by trolling the player who, at 28, is yet to play in the Premier League. Users found the tweet hilarious.

Fans pointed out the fact that he dropped from a top league to the National League to play for Wrexham in 2021 and won’t get any minutes in the top division. Few fans believe he is average despite scoring the most goals in the league last season.
Dropped from the championship to play in non-league presumably because he's average in the championship so, not many, 2 at most
— Crystal (@Crystaliity) January 8, 2023
He couldn’t even score against York so I presume not many
— Charlie (@Charliebwright1) January 8, 2023
2 hence the reason he’s playing in the conference
— Jamie (@Jfar_whufc) January 8, 2023
0 as he will never play in the Premier league
— Mathew 🚹 (@Mathew_scfc) January 8, 2023
He’ll never play there so it’s irrelevant
— Mr Chunder (Andy) (@theboychunder) January 8, 2023
He wouldn’t get any minutes so 0
— Ben White (@benwhite1752663) January 8, 2023
0-5. Non offence to him but he has been a lower league footballer all his career and there are strikers who can hit 20+ in the championship regularly but can’t hit a barn door in the premier league

Paul Mullin won Golden Boot last season for Ryan Reynolds’ club
Wrexham signed Paul Mullin from the fourth-division club Cambridge United. Despite a stellar season at United, where he won Golden Boot in League Two (fourth-tier league) and helped them to get promotion to the third tier, the player decided to play in the fifth division with Wrexham.

Mullin again shined in his first season and almost sent Wrexham to the third division. The striker was named the National League Player of the Season 2021-22 and won the golden boot again after scoring 26 goals for Wrexham. He also won Wrexham’s player of the season, the goal of the season, and top-scorer of the season in 2021-22.
Wrexham striker is in the red hot form again this season with already netting 17 goals in 23 appearances in the league. He looks set to score more goals than last season and will hope this time around helps Wrexham to get promoted.
