Cristiano Ronaldo started construction on 27,000 square meters of land three years back. His dream mansion is brewing in the luxurious neighborhood of Quinta da Marinha de Cascais, known for high-profile people living there. However, the house that was estimated to complete by June 2023 is still under construction, much to the frustration of Ronaldo.
The reports suggest it might take another year to complete. CR7’s sister said, “house doesn’t even have a completion date,” in January. Moreover, the cost of construction is rising with every passing day. To date, the Portuguese spent $35 million on his lavish mansion, which includes 300 square meters of the suite. All the spending has been on state-of-the-art facilities like a massive garage for car collection, indoor and outdoor pools, sports field, gym, and exclusive Italian marble used in construction.

But it seems the cost might increase again, as the former Real Madrid superstar, who is worth $500 Million, is eyeing a property around his mansion. He wants the utmost privacy, but recently Portuguese media figure and Brazilian YouTuber shared glimpses of his house with minute details. He proposed to buy the surrounding land to build walls for security and privacy. However, the owner hasn’t responded positively yet.

Neighbors in distress
Recently media outlet LOOK reported the frustrations of those living in the neighborhood of Quinta da Marinha. The construction has been going on for over three years. At first, the residents in the proximity were happy that Portugal’s prodigal son was coming to live near them. But over the years, the excitement turned into a nightmare. The streets have been closed for months, gardens filled with dust, and there’s still a year of construction left. The residents are making necessary adjustments, leaving them frustrated. Only time will tell when the work end and Ronaldo’s dream is a reality.
