Any case with the law takes a lot of money. And Dani Alves, who is currently helpless financially, approached Neymar’s family for financial help. According to UOL, the former player received financial assistance of $164 thousand from the Al Hilal forward’s father. Neymar’s father plays a key role in many of his professional off-field activities and decided to take a call to assist the accused.

It was reported that Alves was the one who approached the Brazilian record goal scorer for monetary help. The 40-year-old has all his assets blocked by the law after being held. The player will undergo a trial in Barcelona courts from February 5th to February 7th, 2024, which could decide his case. However, this amount could help reduce his sentence in the event that the accusations against him are proven. The 40-year-old could be facing nine to fifteen years in prison if found guilty.

Meanwhile, the fine of $164k was paid as “mitigating indemnity for the damage caused.” Alves was held by the police in Barcelona in January last year for being accused of committing the offense in the bathroom of a nightclub on December 30th, 2022. Since then, the player has been locked up and denied bail for the potential risk of flying away to another land.

On the other hand, his wife, Joana Sanz, has also been trying for a divorce, which she hasn’t been able to get, as she said.
