Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid is on everyone’s lips. With the Frenchman still failing to commit to Paris Saint-Germain, his domestic future remains in the air. As the rumors of Mbappe going to the Spanish club intensify, legendary Italian manager Fabio Capello claims Erling Haaland would be the ‘best’ signing for Los Blancos.
The former AC Milan midfielder dropped his opinion in a recent tête-à-tête with Marca. While discussing all the soccer happenings around the world, they questioned him on which player he would sign between Haaland and Mbappe if he were the current coach of Real Madrid. Interestingly, the Italian icon replied, “Mbappé is not a centre forward. He likes to play more on the wing. Madrid already has Vinicius in that band, but Mbappé is Mbappé!”
Despite acknowledging that Mbappe is better than Haaland, Capello wants the La Liga giants to reconsider their stance over the PSG sensation. “If Madrid is going to sign, they have to ask themselves if they have a center forward now. And it doesn’t have it. He needs that more. But if you are going to look at technical quality, who is the better footballer, Mbappé is above Haaland,” he concluded. Notably, this isn’t the first time Haaland links surfaced on his move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Fiorentina Perez and Co. were informed about the release clause of the Norwegian superstar, who is available at a cut price of $100 million. Adding the 23-year-old will help them fill the void left by Karim Benzema. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see if Real Madrid takes Capello’s advice or opts to follow the counsel of one of their other legends, who wants the opposite.
