And it seems that this talent runs in the family, with his wife, Blake Lively, also making waves in the business world.

Recently Ryan Reynolds has dominated headlines with his massive investment in F1 Team, Alpine. While the investment has the world talking, it is worth noting that just nine years prior, Blake Lively experienced a setback in her own project.

Blake Lively an esteemed Hollywood actress, is recognized for her talent on the silver screen. In 2014, though the actress dipped her feet in the entrepreneurial world. Lively launched a website named Preserve around her lifestyle, with high hopes of creating a successful online platform.

However, to her dismay, the project failed to gain traction and closed its doors after just one year due to internal issues. In an interview this year, Lively shared her disappointment and the emotional toll that the failure of Preserve took on her. “I poured everything I had into that company,” Lively expressed, underlining the depth of her investment in the project. She went on to describe the closure of the site as “feeling like a death,” highlighting the personal impact of the failure.

Despite the setback, Blake Lively has not let this deter her entrepreneurial spirit. In 2021, she made a comeback with her venture, Betty Buzz. Betty Buzz is a line of non-alcoholic drink mixtures that Lively ventured into to reignite her journey as an entrepreneur. Betty Buzz has now also become the sponsor of Wrexham. While his wife has bounced back from her failure, Reynolds on the other hand is continuously making waves.

After Wrexham, Alpine is next for Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds made headlines in 2021 when he acquired Wrexham AFC. This venture proved to be a triumph as the team secured victory in the National League after a grueling 15-year struggle, earning promotion to EFL League Two. Emboldened by this achievement, Reynolds set his sights on the world of Formula 1, specifically partnering with Alpine.

In an impressive display of commitment, he and a consortium invested roughly $218 million, acquiring a significant 24% stake in the company with the goal of enhancing its performance. Just as he aims to elevate Wrexham, he wants to take the Team to championship status. Reynolds is devoted to pushing the boundaries and achieving greatness in his various investments.
