The messy and controversial separation saga of Shakira and Gerard Pique, filled with diss tracks and public outbursts, was the talk of the town for quite some time. However, the recent rumor mill has shifted its focus from the ugly breakup to her new love interest for the Colombian singer in the form of F1 Pilot, Lewis Hamilton.

The rumors of Shakira and Lewis Hamilton dating have been gaining momentum, with every new appearance and confirmation about the couple. But, a recent appearance of them together has prompted some subtle digs from a well-known actor.

Shakira slammed by a popular actor

On the one-year anniversary of her split with Pique, Shakira was spotted celebrating with Lewis Hamilton and a few friends. A picture of the couple sitting close to each other and surrounded by friends went viral and has only added fuel to the fire of the rumors.

This new relationship development also became a talking point in the Spanish show ‘The Ana Rosa Program’. During the show, actor Alessandro Lequio gave his critical thoughts on the Colombian singer’s behavior following her breakup. “After seeing how the vengeful Shakira spends it with her songs, I doubt very much that any well-known man dares to have anything formal with her,” Lequio said, referring to Shakira’s diss tracks aimed at Pique following their split.

Lequio further stated that Shakira and Hamilton’s relationship seemed to be mutually beneficial for both. “It’s good for both of them,” Lequio added. “It’s good for Hamilton too, he puts his name on other stages and that’s very good for advertising billing“.

However, this is not the first time Alessandro Lequio has expressed his discontent with the singer.

Last month, Lequio made some critical comments regarding Shakira while showing support for her ex-partner, Gerard Pique. In response to a video posted by Shakira on Instagram for her children, Lequio expressed his dissatisfaction.

He mentioned that the video was very bad and that he couldn’t explain how he reacted to it. “There is a father,” he said. “And it seems like the father doesn’t exist. It’s disgusting. Absolutely repulsive”. Although Lequio supports Pique’s role as a father, his discontent with Shakira’s behavior was quite apparent in his use of such strong language.
