Former Argentine soccer player Ezequiel Lavezzi has unfortunately found himself in a hospital bed. It has been suggested that the former Paris Saint-Germain player has received an abdominal wound along with a broken collarbone, raising concerns among fans and supporters.

Lavezzi, retired from soccer 4-year-ago, and since has spent his post-retirement years fulfilling his wanderlust by exploring the world and indulging in various parties. However, fate took an unfortunate turn as shocking news broke on Tuesday in the early hours of the morning.

According to recent reports around 5 am, emergency services received a distress call, from the house of Ezequiel Lavezzi. Following that, he was swiftly transported to the Cantegril Clinic in Punta del Este, Uruguay as he had suffered a fractured clavicle and a cut in the abdomen.

The Argentine star’s family has revealed that the incident occurred while he was in the middle of a mundane task – changing a light bulb. According to the family, his balance failed him, and he fell from the ladder, colliding with a piece of furniture that caused the grave injuries he is now facing.

Other than this, not much else has been unveiled regarding the incident or the player’s current condition. The illustrious career of the Argentina icon

Ezequiel Lavezzi, who primarily played as a winger had an illustrious career spanning over 16 years. He started his senior career playing for the Argentine club, Estudiantes. However, his breakthrough moment arrived in 2007 when he secured a contract with the prestigious Italian club, Napoli.

During his five-year tenure with Napoli, Lavezzi showcased his talents and scored an impressive 48 goals. Following this remarkable stint, he embarked on a new chapter by joining the esteemed French side Paris Saint Germain in a lucrative deal valued at $33 million. Throughout his time there, the Argentine recorded 35 goals in 161 appearances.

Ezequiel Lavezzi’s stint with PSG marked his final years in Europe as he decided to venture further and play in China. He also had 51 appearances for the national team and in 2019 he finally announced his retirement. Now, hopefully, he can safely recover from his injuries.
