Pedri made his way to senior soccer at the early age of 16. His enthusiasm for the sport comes from a soccer-crazy family. He was born on Nov 25, 2002, in Tegueste, to parents María Rosario and Fernando. His mother Maria joined his father to take care of their family business of running a hotel in his hometown. The place reportedly serves native Canarian Cuisine. Pedri’s father Fernando takes care of the bar and lounge section, while his mother and grandmother look over the kitchen.

It is also reported that the restaurant belongs to the player’s paternal grandfather senior Fernando who opened it in 1972. Senior Fernando was an avid FC Barcelona fan. Subsequently, the call for the sport also rubbed on his son Fernando Junior, Pedri’s father. He was also a soccer player and had the opportunity to be a part of the Spanish third-division club on the neighboring island of Tejina as a goalkeeper.
