Amidst transfer drama, Kylian Mbappe found himself caught up in injury news. Hours after featuring in PSG’s 3-1 French Cup win against Brest, reports emerged that the Frenchman had sustained an ankle injury. While it creates uncertainty surrounding his availability for the upcoming Champions League match, a relieving update has been offered by Mbappe’s national team coach, Didier Deschamps, assuring that there are ‘no worries’ on the injury front.
The injury seemingly happened after he received an aggressive challenge from center-back Lilian Brassier in the 70th minute. Although justice was done as Brassier saw a red card following a second yellow, Parisian fans were concerned about their star player. Reporter Abdellah Boulma was also curious to get an update on Mbappe’s injury, as he directly questioned Les Bleus’ head coach. Deschamps replied, “Kylian Mbappe’s ankle? Everything is fine, no worries on that side, it’s okay.” These words were undoubtedly a sense of relief to all.
