Brian Flynn, a pivotal figure who donned the Reds’ jersey and managed the team for a remarkable 12 years, holds a unique point. He led Wrexham to their promotion from the fourth tier in the 1992-93 season and orchestrated the legendary 2-1 FA Cup victory over Arsenal. With an illustrious history, Flynn now views Wrexham as the team everyone wants to overcome. Despite this challenge, he remains unwavering in his support for his former club’s ability to rise to the occasion.

In a recent interview, Flynn said,“It is always difficult going up a level and everybody wants to beat Wrexham now.”

He emphasizes the significance of momentum and shares his conviction that it will be swiftly regained. Flynn even joined the Reds’ pre-season tour of America in an ambassadorial capacity. He added, “Every time Wrexham steps onto the field, it’s like a cup final. Opponents raise their game; that’s a given. But once Wrexham finds its rhythm in this new division, I’m confident they’ll surge forward and recapture the momentum they had last year.”
