Hugh Jackman reveals Wolverine’s best soccer position and how it would scare Lionel Messi
Ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Hugh Jackman appeared for an interview with FIFA. During the interview, he talked about the Socceroos and his love for the World Cup. He also revealed his on-screen character Wolverine’s best position in soccer.
“No, he’d keep popping the ball and slashing the ball,” Jackman said when asked if Wolverine would be a good goalkeeper. “No, because you know in the comic book he’s only five foot three. There’s just not many five-foot-three goalkeepers around anymore.”
Jackman continued: “But I wouldn’t mind him in the midfield. He could do some serious damage to people. You know, even Messi would be like, ‘I might just pass it to someone else. I don’t want to come up against him.'”
Indeed, Wolverine would scare off any soccer player in the world. But ‘Wolverine’ is coming back on the screen and fans can’t stop being excited about it.
