Manchester City is ready to put everything at stake for the Premier League title race. With four games remaining, Pep Guardiola and Co. are gearing themselves up for one last push to secure the coveted trophy. Amidst the intense preparations, star player Erling Haaland has given a major update regarding his injury, asserting that he is ‘ready to attack’ as City aims to clinch the title.
As reported by Manchester City writer Joe Bray, when asked about his health, the Norwegian superstar had positive news. He said, “I’m ready – I had a bit of a problem and it’s not nice to bounce back when we went out to Madrid in the #UCL. It’s been scratching inside of me to get back and now I’m back and feeling good. I’m ready to attack the last five finals.”
Notably, the 23-year-old struggled to keep up with his form since enduring the unfortunate UEFA Champions League exit in the quarter-finals against Real Madrid. However, it looks like Haaland is ready for whatever may come ahead. Remarkably, the striker regained his scoring touch by finding the net alongside Josko Gvardiol during Sunday’s 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest.

Surprisingly, he hadn’t seen his name on the scoresheet since City’s 5-1 victory over Luton Town on April 13, even missing out on opportunities during the second leg of the UEFA Champions League against Madrid, never mind the first leg. Meanwhile, he was absent from the squad for the narrow win in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea and the 4-0 victory over Brighton.
Either way, it is expected of him to at least pull up in these final four PL fixtures against Wolves, Fulham, Tottenham, and West Ham. Yet, while he looks fit, what is the update on his other teammates?
While Erling Haaland is ready to rumble, what about other Manchester City stars?
During Manchester City’s 0-2 win over Nottingham Forest, Phil Foden and Ruben Dias did not travel with the squad. While it raised further concerns about their availability, Pep Guardiola provided an update on the duo while talking to the media prior to the game. The Spaniard stated that the reason Foden missed the clash at the City Ground was because he was unwell and had discomfort.

Ruben Dias is reportedly experiencing a similar situation, being absent for the Sky Blues’ second consecutive game. Dias was on the bench during Man City’s 4-0 victory over Brighton last week. Furthermore, there is uncertainty surrounding Ederson’s comeback, as he was substituted in the first half of the match against the Seagulls due to a shoulder injury, leaving his return uncertain.
Let’s hope Pep Guardiola has a full squad to help him make the final push toward the Premier League title. But all eyes are on Erling Haaland, now that he is ready to charge ahead.
