Speaking to Sky Sports, with many different stories coming in, Erik ten Hag was asked, “What absolutely went wrong with Jadon Sancho?” to which the coach replied, “He’s now at Dortmund, so after he was signed one year before, there were issues. I have had issues all the way through. And so you can make out his, so we’re staying here at Manchester United, so far he’s not a success.” Sancho just scored just 12 goals in 82 games for United, but it wasn’t just the issue.

When further asked if things would have been different if Sancho apologized, ten Hag said, “He knows what he should do, and we have made that clear, and it was also so clear and obvious about his performance.” and did not provide a clear-cut answer but still wished the player the best of luck.
Sancho had a below-par stint with the Red Devils, but ten Hag’s earlier claim was Sancho’s discipline. The English international was accused of arriving late to the training, not just by the former Ajax coach but also by former United player Nemanja Matic. But it looks like the reason has now been claimed for his performance.
