Shakira, the iconic Colombian singer, and mother of two, has found herself fuming at her ex-partner Gerard Pique for breaching their custody agreement with their children. Despite a huge following and a successful career, Shakira’s main priority has always been the happiness and well-being of her two kids, Sasha and Milan. Following the publicized split in June last year, tensions have been running high between the once-beloved couple.

Shakira fought tirelessly in court for several months to secure custody of her children. And through the process, a mutual agreement was reached between the former partners. Unfortunately, it appears that Pique has now violated this agreement, leading to Shakira’s anger and frustration.

Shakira is angry with Gerard Pique for leaving kids

At present, the children are enjoying their summer vacation. Due to personal circumstances, Shakira was forced to leave them in the care of their father. But, it seems that the Barcelona legend has failed to prioritize spending quality time with their kids during this period.

According to Mamarazzi, Shakira is furious that Pique “does not take as much time off as possible from his work and personal commitments to be with the children during his vacation period”. The singer is uncomfortable with the decision of the soccer legend to leave the kids in the care of a third party.

It is reported that there is no agreement in place for the kids to be left in the care of grandparents, relatives, or anyone outside of the immediate family. “Shakira has not authorized at any time that the children spend part of their holiday period with relatives or third parties,” sources reveal. This breach of the agreement has left Shakira fuming and disappointed in her ex-partner’s behavior. It is inevitable for co-parenting to present challenges, especially when both parties have demanding careers. However, Shakira’s legal troubles extend beyond just breaches in agreement. The renowned singer also finds herself entangled in a significant tax fraud controversy.

The Colombian singer can face up to 8-years jail-time

The tax fraud case that looms over the 46-year-old in an astonishing lawsuit amounting to $15.9 million. Spanish authorities have accused her of evading taxes from 2012 to 2014. They claimed that she spent over 183 days annually in Spain and therefore had to pay taxes there, which she did not.

Shakira adamantly denies these allegations and consistently maintains that she did not reside in Spain during the specified period. As the lengthy legal proceedings continue, her trial is set for November 20th. In the unfortunate event of conviction, not only could she face a substantial fine of $26 million but also be subjected to a maximum prison sentence of 8 years.
