Olympique Lyon is having an awful start to the season. With just 1 point from their last four fixtures, hundreds of supporters and ultras of the club couldn’t keep their feelings to themselves. After the defeat, the players gathered, and the head of the Ultras started a speech.
The ultra said, “Others before you have worn it, glorified it. You don’t have the right to tarnish it. Now that the transfer window is over, the squad is here. All we ask is to be by your side. But to do that, you’re going to have to earn it. We love and respect this shirt.”
The former owner of the club, Jean-Michel Aulas, is reported to be suing the new owner, John Textor. Aulas accuses some important details were hidden from him by Textor before the transfer of ownership, which resulted in a loss of valuable funds. If he had known about the details earlier, he claims he would have lowered the sale value by putting more money into the club’s account. Olympique Lyon is currently estimated to be valued at $734 million.

Kylian Mbappe back at work at PSG as they find their stride
PSG drew their opening game against Montpellier. Kylian Mbappe had been ousted from the squad as he refused to sign a contract extension, Mbappe was eventually reinstated to the squad after constructive talks between the club and the player. The French striker then came on to score a penalty and save the day by drawing their last outing against Toulouse.
In the last two games, where Mbappe has played the full 90 minutes, fans have witnessed the true potential of Enrique’s tactics. Kylian Mbappe seems to be the missing piece of the puzzle and both the club’s management and Enrique know that. Kolo Muani has been signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for $96.9 million. It is yet to be seen when he will be given a start, but he will likely take Mbappe or Asensio’s place and will be used as a backup for both.
