As of February 2021, he and his co-star Rob McElhenney took over the club. But the comedic actor once revealed that his wife Blake Lively who was initially angry with his soccer investment, has turned out to become a bigger and crazier Wrexham fan as compared to him.

In fact, Lively went on to sponsor the Red Dragons herself. Just days ago, her beverage company become an official sponsor of the club.

Ryan Reynolds reveals the big Wrexham fan in his home

Without a doubt, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have done the unthinkable at Wrexham. The Hollywood duo has made the Welsh soccer club successful on and off the pitch. Along with their most recent league promotion, the club now has a global presence. Due to their increased activity across all social media and the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ docuseries, the world now knows Wrexham.

Back in 2022, the Hollywood duo was giving an interview. The comedic actor made quite a surprising statement about the club. He admitted that his better half had also started taking an interest in the sport. He quoted, “But she’s obsessed with Wrexham. I mean, she is more obsessed with Wrexham and its possible promotion than I am”.

Also, that wasn’t the only time her name and the club’s name were in the same sentence. Months later, she actually addressed the soccer fanbase herself. Her husband was in the stands to witness Wrexham’s 3-3 thriller against Sheffield United. But Lively didn’t travel for the game. While watching the nail-biter from the comfort of her home she joked that her life made no sense anymore.

From the looks of it, her love for the club continued to grow. Her beverage company, Betty Buzz recently became an official sponsor of the League Two club.

Wrexham’s latest sponsor turns out to be Blake Lively!

In the past, Reynolds has revealed that Blake Lively was initially furious with his $2.5 million Wrexham investment. In fact, he didn’t even tell her in the beginning. From that point to actually becoming a sponsor, that is a mighty turn of fortunes! Proudly, Blake Lively is now directly involved with Wrexham. Less than a week ago, the club announced its new training kit sponsor.

Betty Buzz is a premium drink mixer that one can mix with their favorite spirits. Following her sponsorship in the soccer universe, Lively launched a new range of canned cocktails. Lively’s Betty Buzz officially replaces her husband’s company Aviation Gin as the kit sponsor. The ancient soccer club will exponentially help the mixer brand grow.

The players will wear the new training kit to train for their first game in a new league. With a record 111-point season, the Red Dragons skyrocketed their way out of the Vanarama National League. For the first time in fifteen years and in Reynolds’ just second full season, the club has achieved the historic promotion.
