Gareth Southgate provides Harry Kane’s injury update ahead of USMNT clash

Many were wondering about Harry Kane’s status ahead of the USMNT game. It is an important game and a win could steer the ‘Three Lions’ to the knockout stages. Southgate, in a recent interview, revealed that Kane will be available, which is bad news for the USMNT fans.

“Harry is fine,” Southgate told BBC Sport.

“He had a scan [on Wednesday] to make sure everything is fine,” Southgate added.

The 29-year-old injured his knee in the 2nd half against Iran. Southgate had to substitute the Tottenham striker due to an injury scare. Kane had just assisted Marcus Rashford for the team’s fifth goal, minutes before being substituted. He was replaced by Callum Wilson, who then went on to set up Jack Grealish for England’s sixth of the night vs Iran.
