It is just 7 months left before the announcement of the Ballon d’Or. With each passing day, talks are rising in favor of multiple players across leagues. Karim Benzema keeps on presenting a big case for himself, repeating the honor this year. Other names are Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski. Wrexham star Ben Foster, in a recent talk, presented his favorite candidate for Ballon d’Or race.

These names have proven to be league-leading when it comes to influencing the game with their scoring. After winning the World Cup, Lionel Messi presented a strong candidacy for the highest honor. However, the savior of Wrexham against Notts County legendary goalkeeper Ben Foster has a different candidate in mind.

Lionel Messi isn’t Ben Foster’s favorite

Wrexham star Ben Foster appeared in a talk on Premier League. Among many things, he also talked about the Ballon d’Or race. He presents a big statement in favor of Arsenal’s star winger, Bukayo Saka. It is apparent that Ben Foster is supporting the leading title chasers.

Talking about Saka, Foster said, “For me, I just think we need to end the vote now. I think he has been that good and he has improved so much this season, which is saying a lot because last season he was fantastic too. If he carries on evolving like this, then he has to be in with a shout for it, eventually.

The Arsenal stalwart has scored 12 goals and has made 10 goals in 30 minutes. In order to keep leading the title race, Arsenal will face West Ham United in their upcoming matchup.  This season Arsenal’s chances are high although fans are expecting a very close fight with Manchester City. After City’s win yesterday, the gap between the two teams has reduced to just 3 points.

Ben Foster saved Wrexham

In a recent title-defining match in the National League, Wrexham faced Notts County. Both were in a very tight fight for the title and Automatic Promotion. While the match was back and forth, it came down to a last-second penalty to Notts County. Wrexham was leading 3-2 and winning this game was crucial for the Red Dragons.
