Gerard Pique had become an astute businessman. Along with the Kings League, he already owns two smaller soccer clubs in Spain. Days ago, Pique established a brand-new company in the live music industry. A report claims that this new company will ‘complement’ and help synergize the activities of his other companies in the entertainment and sports industry.

With a net worth of $80 million, Pique has already been busy with his Kings League venture. Last weekend, he successfully completed the second season of the unique soccer competition.

Gerard Pique isn’t the first sportsperson who has managed to develop the business aspect of his career. He is following a similar trajectory to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and LeBron James. Most of the fanbase is aware of his hardships with the ITF after the COVID pandemic. Moving on from the lawsuit, the FC Barcelona legend has decided to dip his toes into a brand-new industry.

Just recently, he established ‘La Gran Velada Show’. It is an economic interest group that will produce live performing arts and musical shows. Other companies of the Kosmos group including Goatch Global, and Kosmos Global Media jointly own this company. Pique’s two trusted men namely Ferran Vilaseca and Alex Bardera will manage the new company.

Kosmos has officially not provided any information. El Nacional claims that this new venture will ‘complement’ the activities of its other companies. It will also look to eventually start producing its own live shows. His two trusted partners, Vilaseca and Bardera, have been joint administrators of most Kosmos companies and the soccer veteran expects his new venture to also work in tandem with the rest.

Out of all his business ventures, Gerard Pique’s Kings League has gained immense popularity. Apart from cashing out a $3 million profit from the first season, the unique soccer competition has also received praise from the President of FC Barcelona.

Last week, Pique and Ibai Llanos successfully wrapped up the second season of the Kings League. They held the ‘final four’ at the Civitas Metropolitano stadium in Madrid. For the inaugural season, they held the knockout stages at Camp Nou. Reportedly, the soccer legend cashed out $3 million dollars as profit. He also sold more than 92,000 tickets for that day. The first season was live-streamed on Twitch.

Amid their second season, the retired defender managed to sign a broadcasting rights deal. In an interview, Joan Laporta had also once praised the idea. He said, “ I think Pique’s Kings League is a way of modernizing football. It gives it sustainability”. After his split with Shakira and retirement from soccer, the soccer veteran has put his heart and soul into developing the Kings League.
