USWNT legend Alex Morgan joined millions of fans in lauding and welcoming the Argentine World Cup winner. In addition, the MLS released an official video statement by the stalwart of the women’s counterpart of the game.

Back in the day, USWNT’s Morgan had achieved a popular ‘title’ from the soccer universe. Apart from their playmaking abilities, both soccer legends have one other thing in common. In 2013, both their names were on FIFA’s shortlist for the Ballon d’Or. At that time, fans dubbed Morgan the ‘Lionel Messi’ of women’s soccer.

A few weeks ago, Messi dropped a major surprise after agreeing on a deal with Inter Miami. After his short tenure at PSG, the soccer veteran was quite fascinated by the MLS project. He has signed a two-and-half-year deal with David Beckham’s soccer club. Just hours ago, they unveiled the Argentine as one of their very own players.

The major unveil and welcome ceremony was at the DRV PNK stadium. Millions of fans paid their respects to the World Cup winner on social media. Morgan also decided to join the bandwagon with a short and sweet video message. In the video, she quoted, “He just makes everyone around him look so good”.

“By his passes, by his dribbling ability, by his movement, by attracting defenders. There is no one else in the game that compares to Messi. He just is so fun to watch”. Undoubtedly, his gameplay is very-very easy on the eye, similar to Morgan’s technique.
