As the court proceedings got underway, the model made a surprising decision to forego the legal trial and, instead, chose to remain in Saudi Arabia.

Georgina Rodriguez snubs legal trial over Saudi stay

Earlier, Georgina Rodriguez initiated legal proceedings against two Spanish television channels for defaming her reputation. The trial commenced on Tuesday, October 3rd, and the model was expected to attend a court hearing. However, in a surprising twist of events, Ronaldo’s girlfriend did not appear.

Instead, the 29-year-old influencer was in Saudi Arabia with her children. Apparently, instead of appearing in person, she was represented by her sister, Ivana, and her boyfriend, Carlos García, at the Pozuelo Alarcón court in Madrid. According to Nova Gente, Ivana, upon departing the courtroom, expressed that the session had proceeded favorably, stating, “Let justice be done.”

Mario Bonacho, a renowned lawyer who has previously represented other prominent individuals, expressed confidence in the case’s outcome. He contended that Georgina seeks “to safeguard her right to privacy and protect her image.” Regarding the proceedings, he remarked, “The trial progressed smoothly,” and added, “Now, it’s up to the judge to determine the appropriateness of this protection.”

Meanwhile, there’s still no specific reason as to why Rodriguez failed to make an appearance. At home, the Ronaldo family recently welcomed a new member to the household.

Rodrigeuz took to Instagram and shared the latest member of their family – a cat. Through a brief video on her Instagram story, the model introduced Corazon, a black and white cat. In the clip, the cat can be seen exploring the garden of the couple’s residence. Aside from the video, Rodriguez wrote, “He has chosen my garden for his home. Welcome Corazon.”

The arrival of Corazon should not come as a surprise to those who are acquainted with Ronaldo and Rodriguez’s affection for animals. Their household already includes three dogs – a golden retriever, a labrador, a Yorkshire terrier – and one sphinx cat.
