PSG took on Olympique Lyon in the Ligue1 game on Sunday. They came into the game on the back of a home loss against Stade Rennes just before the recent international break. PSG was expecting inspiring performance from their talismans, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

However, things didn’t go well for the Parisians and lost 1-0 to Lyon. It was their second consecutive defeat at Parc de Princes this season. With this, they leveled unwanted feat 16 years back when they lost two consecutive home games in 2007. The loss left fans in disbelief as now the lead at the top has been cut down to six points with nine games to go.

Fans slam Lionel Messi and his PSG teammates

Lionel Messi has been subject to booes from the home fans for going missing in important games. A few former players have also slammed the Argentine for not inspiring the club, especially against Bayern Munich. Recent loss has drawn criticism from fans, but fans also blasted other PSG players this time.

One fan wrote“Out of the UCL and a somewhat comfortable lead in a league. Most of the players don’t really give a f**k about. Feels like half of the team is probably already on summer vacation mentality wise.”

Let’s look at what fans had to say about the PSG performance against Lyon.

“PSG is the most boring team to exist ever.”

“That’s what happen when players completely lose faith in their coach.”

“I mean, they only have a six points lead now. They have to start winning again or their place might actually be in danger.”

“Most of the players don’t really give a crap about the badge of PSG. Winning the league is nice, and they will most likely do it, but I doubt most of these players are giving it their all on the pitch at the moment to get there.”
