It’s a rough time for Neymar Jr as the Brazilian superstar has been ruled out for the foreseeable future with an injury. The Al Hilal superstar had to be taken off the field during Brazil’s game against Uruguay. The player tripped and fell in the 44th minute of the game and was immediately surrounded by the players as he was seen holding his knee in pain.

While there were no immediate updates on his status, it has now been confirmed that the player will be out for months after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee. Neymar’s father touched down on his son’s injury in a social media post as he penned an emotional message for the player while slamming his trolls.

While many fans have taken to their social media to voice their condolences for Neymar, a section of trolls have slammed the player for getting injured once again. Their actions have not gone down with the player’s father, Neymar Santos Sr., who took to Instagram to provide his best wishes to his son.

“Now I know why Arabia! Now I know why Al Hilal. God already knew… he needed to separate you, he needed to show us and separate the wheat from the chaff…I don’t know what to say to you, comfort you, or find the right words for this moment. Son! Ah, if I could, I’d be in your place. I’m not a man of agreement. For you and your sister, I’d give my life not to see you suffer. God has allowed in your life several tests so that the consequence of everything would be the way you always get up.”

Neymar’s father then went all in on his trolls, calling them a***oles. “We are where we should be, believe me, in a far country, but with people who love you and accept you with all your flaws and virtues… Now I know why Al Hilal…. don’t listen to the a***oles at this time… they already have their destinies… God will take care of it at the right time… our family, friends, your current club, and the national team and football will be waiting for you!”

Neymar Sr. is right with his emotional display as his son has been often targeted by the trolls. Despite being one of the best players in the world, the Brazilian’s career has been derailed by a string of consistent injuries.

This is also rough news for the player himself who just made his return last month after an extended break due to injury. According to the announcement from the Brazil Football Confederation, the player will be out for an unforeseen period.

The player is expected to go into surgery later this year and then will spend the coming months rehabilitating from the injury. CBF’s medical staff believes the player can be back in shape in the next eight months, which will see Neymar lodge his availability for the Copa América 2024.
