One doesn’t need to dig deep to identify where PSG’s problems lie. The Ligue 1 giants though have performed very well at home backed by PSG’s exhilarating supporters and known environment. But, have somehow always fallen short of clinching a win away from home. Shedding further light on the loss and focusing on the shortcomings, Frank Leboeuf shared his opinion.

The Chelsea icon criticized the PSG players’ attitude as he said, “They didn’t have what we call ‘grinta’, it is kind of a fighting spirit, where you are ready to fight. When you play away from home you have to fight against 11 players but also the atmosphere that you are facing, you’re not comfortable, you don’t know the place and you have to very much stick together in order to win or to be successful and they’re not there.”

Leboeuf further added, “They don’t play together, they don’t fight together, they chose their game and they don’t have in their core the fighting spirit that for me is very necessary in order to win games away from home.”

Having experience playing in the European competition, Kylian Mbappe knows the rights and wrongs of the game and what needs to be done. In his post-match statement, he issues a reality check for the supporters and the players alike.
