Cam Bertrand does not care about soccer!
A large chunk of the NBA and MLB fanbases lie in America. Till a few years ago, soccer was out of the question. However, the sport has gained popularity after the USWNT’s triumphs in the past few years. However, there are a few people who are just against the sport without any real reason. Cam Bertrand, a popular American comedian seems to be one of them. A few hours ago, Bertrand released a stand-up comedy video on his social media.
However, that video has seriously surprised a few soccer fans. The American comedian appears to be making fun of the sport throughout his comedy routine. Bertrand said, “Like I don’t give a f**k about soccer till the World Cup. Y’all remember how turned up we were when we won the preliminary round? We just got into the tournament and we were like…USA! USA!”.
The American comedian just found supporting the USMNT pointless because they came crashing out of the World Cup. Bertrand then joked about it not even being a “real” sport. He advised his fellow Americans to play basketball and get “dunked” on instead of playing soccer.
Many sports fans still don’t watch soccer in America. However, the fans were stunned after Sportico released the 2022 Top 100 sports broadcast viewership numbers. Soccer surprisingly beat the NBA and MLB to the chart.
