After a successful campaign in the National League, Wrexham AFC clinched its promotion to League Two. With the primary goal of competing in the Premier League, Hollywood owners are always looking to hire more star players. Unfortunately, Ryan and Rob failed to pursue the Real Madrid legend, Gareth Bale, to join Wrexham.

Apart from his phenomenal achievements in soccer history, Bale is also known for his passion for golf. A few years back, the Real Madrid icon confronted not scoring a ‘triple bogey’ ever in his golf career. Owing to Bale’s immense passion for golf, fans couldn’t believe the soccer legend’s words.

Interestingly, the Wrexham goalkeeper, Ben Foster, slammed down all these rumors as false. Furthermore, he talks about the opportunity to swing balls with Gareth Bale and Harry Kane.

Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster breaks silence on Gareth Bale’s false rumors

Ben Foster shocked the world after coming out of retirement and joining Wrexham for the second time in March 2023. Furthermore, he holds the record for having the most number of saves (1178) in premier league history. Apart from soccer, Ben also enjoys spending time at the golf course and competing against friends.

Because of Ben’s passion and love for golf, he was recently asked about his opinion on Bale’s ‘triple bogey’ rumors. Back in 2019, Bale confronted that he never scored a ‘triple bogey’ in his entire career. “They said I had a triple bogey, I’ve never had that in my life, ” he said.

This came as a shock to several fans, especially considering the Real Madrid icon has been spotted multiple times on a golf course. Interestingly, the Wrexham goalkeeper doesn’t believe it to be the same case as well. On a recent podcast with Beef’s Golf Club, Ben revealed why he believes all those rumors couldn’t be true.

He said, “Come on, Don’t bullsh*t. Nah, that’s bollocks. I’ve never played with them. They look really good, though. You watch Gareth Bale, you watch his swing. You can tell he does a bit. I think him and Harry Kane have got their sims at home in their massive houses. So they can practice, get people over giving them lessons and whatever. So they look like there are nice golfers to be fair.”

Ben Foster was also asked if he’s interested in playing with Gareth Bale and Harry Kane. To this, he further adds, “Unless they want to play me for a tenner where I can play off my handicap when it gets a little-bit not naughty but a little bit like ‘Yeah don’t sh*t yourself here alright’. Then I don’t want to play with them anyway. I don’t care how good they are.”

Regardless, it’s been over four years since Bale was confronted with ‘triple bogey’. Therefore, it’s highly likely that the Real Madrid icon must have scored at least one triple bogey since the last time.

Besides all the golf rumors, it was really heart-breaking for Wrexham fans after the pursuit to sign Gareth Bale failed. Regardless, it looks like the club has found a replacement for Bale quite sooner than expected.
