It has been a very famous and popular season and the league has been a success, spawning the possibility of Pique confirming the creation of a spin-off series for female professionals.

It is not yet clear what exactly happened with the payments. UEFA has launched an official investigation into the matter. These allegations if found truthful, might land the Spanish giants in some hot water. The club has already issued a statement refusing all the claims.
Laporta talked about the scandal
Barcelona has refuted all the allegations. Barcelona President Laporta has addressed this issue in a recent talk saying, “Barca have never bought referees nor influence. That was never the intention and that has to be clear. The facts contradict those that are trying to tell a different story.” While the matter is still under investigation, nothing can be certainly said about the allegations yet.
